The art/design team of Jackie Piper & Victoria Whitbread have a shared love of colour & material exploration. Discovering an old colour dictionary in an Oxfam shop began a journey to re-establish this long-forgotten brand. Forming British Colour Standard they accurately scanned all of the hundreds of colours in the colour dictionary all of which were inspired by nature, flora and fauna as well as semi-precious stones and spices as well as historic and special Royal colours used for coronations and special events.  All of the candles and interior accessories are made eco, sustainable and Fair Trade conscious.
