Description

The small bowl in Thunder from Sthal is a bowl made for the spotlight!  Each bowl has a beautiful glaze that holds many shades of each colour, each with small decorative crackles that add texture and variety to the ceramic that give each piece in the collection a lively surface with shifting tones and intensity that make each piece unique.  Use with food or other goodies it will fit in anywhere to create a centre piece. The beautiful pattern is characteristic of Sthål’s Arabesque collection. If you look closely, you will discover that the exciting glaze contains a palette of tones and shades and the Thunder is a great shade of deep black blue.  All small bowls are made in Portugal in durable white stoneware clay and are oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. Sthal ceramics are designed in Sweden by the design team of Susanna Theander and Helena Åkesson-Liedberg, two Swedish creative souls with a background in illustration, styling, design and cookbook creation, united in a love for great food, good friends and finding beauty slightly beside the mainstream. Realising they shared the same dreams, they quit their professions as graphic designers in 2010 and presented their first ceramic collection “Arabesque” two years later.
