My old blackboard sign had survived over 6 years outside in all weathers and so I thought it was about time I invested in a new one! Really pleased with it and a big thank you to @acressigns for yet another great piece of signwork!! 👏👏. Everyone who knows me knows I can be a ditherer 🤣 and you would not believe how long it took me to come up with the wording in the board (Scandi Style Natural Homeware & Gifts) but I think it perfectly sums up Bill & Edna. Everything we sell is created and made by small independent suppliers. All uniquely designed (nothing copied or mass produced) and everything is made ethically using natural and/or sustainable materials. If you are in Ashbourne come and see the new sign! I love my Oslo wool socks from @nishiguchikutsushita so much that, of course, being made from wool they do wear and they were in need of a darn. I followed the great little darning video on their website (I’ve attached a link below to their Care for Socks page and if you scroll down a little you will be able to open the video).

Thank you to @bettyssewingbox (they sell it in lots of colours) for my darning wool. It was a lovely way to spend a mindful hour and it took me back to my weaving days with the great local weaver and artist @alison.yule from @hayloftstudiodesigns. I do miss my weaving days and I can tell from my darning that I need lots more practice getting things straight but overall I am rather pleased with it for a first attempt. I have also discovered my old room name plate from the 70s. Honestly do not know how that has reappeared in an old box but here it is. They were so popular in the 70s used to love mine! Hopefully the video will inspire you to get darning but, if not, new Oslo socks from this great Japanese brand are all now back in stock in an array of beautiful colours. @nishiguchikutsushita have been making quality socks since the 1950s (Kutsushita means socks in Japanese) and I love selling and wearing these!!

Had a beret good time @topdrawerlondon and @springautumnfair over the last couple of weeks!! I am always so impressed by all the creative talent on show and it is so hard to decide what to buy 🤔🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️ I have gone a bit scarf 🧣and beret 👩‍🎨mad this time which are new lines for me which I hope will be popular 🤞.
