A shared love of ceramics led two Swedish designers Susanna Theander and Helena Åkesson-Liedberg (Sthal is a play on the two names) to quit their professions as graphic designers in 2010 and create their first ceramic range. The name Arabesque comes from French and means Arabic. It is also a special artistic expression with a looping pattern of plants, leaves and vines. The platter is made from white stoneware clay fired at high temperature to be durable and long-lasting. The range is made in Portugal is SGS tested meaning there are no toxins involved in its production. Every piece has soft subtle patterns with fluid effect glazes that add variety and layers of colour to the ceramic and each piece will be unique. Designed to last a lifetime, all of the shapes and colours will complement each other and are perfect for collecting.
